Coke Embraces Recycling in a BIG WAY

When fully operational, the plant will produce approximately 100 million pounds of food-grade recycled PET plastic each year -- the equivalent of nearly two billion 20-ounce Coca-Cola bottles. ... Over the next ten years the plant will prevent the release of one million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions -- the equivalent of removing 215,000 cars from the road. ..."

This is a huge step forward for any large corporation. It is to no surprise that Coca-Cola is one of the first to take it. My Uncle who works for Coca-Cola has told me before that they take huge steps to consider the value of their customers and the value of those around them. I don't doubt that this may also mean some sort of tax break for Coca-Cola as well and not to mention saving them money by lowering the purchase of new plastic goods.
