For some city dwellers; a car is almost a liability.  There is the higher cost of insurance, trouble or expense of parking, and if one walks to work ... an expensive asset that is little use.

I know that way back when ... when I lived in Old City Philadelphia and worked 4 blocks away my car sat for days without being used ... while I paid expensive auto insurance and monthly garage fees.
