Kevin Wall, Al Gore, Pharrell Williams, Mana, Cameron Diaz, and MSN announce Save Our Selves (SOS), a campaign for a Climate in Crisis. 100 musical acts will perform at the Live Earth concert. The Live Earth concerts will be performed in Brazil, Shanghai, Japan, Johannesburg, London, Sydney, and the United States. The concerts will implement a new Green Event Standard. The Green Event Standard will be a model for future carbon neutral concerts. The standard is being created in collaboration with the U.S. Green Building Commission to develop methods for concert venues to become LEED-approved.  Live Earth will demonstrate eco-friendly performance for the live entertainment industry, ranging from energy usage and generation to waste generated by concert goers.  ...
