- Wash and dry full loads. If you have to wash a small load, use the correct water setting
- When shopping for new appliances, select those with the Energy Star Label"

- With your parents help check to see that you have adequet insulation"

"Entertainment:

- Turn TVs, computers, etc. off when not in use
- More energy is used to manufacture TVs, computers, etc. than to operate them. Consider buying used or recycled units, or buying only needed components instead of an entire new set up
- Use Inkjet printers, which can use 95% less 3energy than laser printers
- Instead of turning on the TV or video games, go ride a bike or play your favorite sport with some friends"
